The Norfolk Wildlife Centre has changed
The new
venture called the Animal Ark concentrates on a collection of farm animals and pets whilst retaining many of its original features, and favourites such as wallabies, muntjac, peacocks and waterfowl.
The Animal Ark is set in 20 acres of landscaped countryside with conifer belts, carp ponds, mature trees and ornamental shrubs. You can walk by the side of the waterfowl lake or feed the pygmy goats in their pen.
The pretty tearoom gardens now feature a variety of play items including a sandpit, playhouse, climbing towers, swings and slides, zip wire, go karts and garden games. Nearby are lots of small animals, birds and pygmy goats. You can relax and sip a cup of tea on the terrace while you watch the kids enjoy themselves.
As well as rare breed cattle, pigs and sheep we have donkeys, llamas, pygmy goats, muntjac deer, wallabies and a variety of small animals, pheasants, domestic fowl and waterfowl. There's an abundance of natural willdife too and we even have our own Heron colony.
The Animal Ark is popular with young families and children between 0 and 11yrs and there's lots to amuse both children and adults. Take a look at what's on offer and check out our new web site at http://www.theanimalark.org or wait to be redirected.
In case you were wondering, many of the original animals were rehomed with good loving homes and are all fit and well. However, we did retain some of our original collection including, meerkats, otters, raccoon and emu, and you can see these on 'WILD DAY' events during the Summer vacation.
Look forward to seeing you there.....
Best wishes
