The Norfolk Wildlife Centre has changed it's name
Despite increasing the number of visitors by 50% over the last 6 years the owners are unable to continue to support the variety of animals that were previously displayed. We are therefore concentrating on a new venture which we have called The Animal Ark. This is largely based on our previous collection of waterfowl, farm animals and domestic pets. The centre still retains many of your favourites for example wallabies, llamas, pygmy goats and muntjac deer. The site occupies 20 acers of attractive parkland with many mature trees, shrubs and ponds. The collectuon of over 300 animals lncludes rare breed sheep, pigs and cattle, Shetland Pony, llamas, parakeets, small birds, pheasants, and a variety of waterfowl and domestic fowl.
The new centre is still under development but it is hoped that the majority of work will be completed by August 2007.
All of the original animals are fit and well and have been or are being found new caring homes, although many will remain in a private breeding collection.
